Gary Wyeth
Managing Director, Wyeth Water Consultants

Gary graduated from Portsmouth University in 1991 with a Master of Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering. He has 28 years’ experience in the water industry, specifically in the Non-Revenue Management field, with 25 of those years spent working in Asia.

Gary started his career as a Hydraulic Modeller and has been responsible for the construction of over 40 network models, which has enabled him to gain a comprehensive understanding of water supply system operating regimes. Using this experience of water supply systems, he has moved in to the operation and management of supply systems, involving asset management, pressure management, customer service, metering & data-logging and Non- Revenue Water reduction techniques. He has project managed a number of performance based NRW Reduction projects in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.

Stuart Stapely
Non-Revenue Water Manager, Detection Services, Australia

Stuart Stapely is a chartered water infrastructure professional with over 20 years of best practice specialist knowledge in non-revenue water reduction and water civil engineering. His is responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of projects across Australasia. He is a member of the Project Management Institute and is a certified Project Management Professional. Stuart’s experience has been developed from the ground level up. He has the full range of non-revenue water skills from active leakage control and field monitoring through to designing water loss management strategies and auditing water authorities. Stuart is an active member of the IWA Water Loss Specialist Group since 2002.

Matthew Kennedy
Project Manager, Xylem Inc., Malaysia

Matthew is a Project Manager from Xylem Inc, managing multi-million dollars smart water and analytics projects across Asia and Australasia. These projects cover the installation and continuous monitoring of thousands of sensors which includes identification of hundreds of previously unknown leaks and operational issues in the past 6 months alone. He joined Xylem in Singapore in 2018, and he has recently moved to Kuala Lumpur.

Prior to this, Matthew worked with CH2M Hill in Malaysia as a Flood Risk Team Leader. In this role, he has led a group of analysts in delivering water resource, drainage and flood risk projects in various locations such as Bangkok, Thailand and Bangalore, India, where he worked on the masterplan for the city’s water resources.Matthew started his career as a hydrologist with Halcrow consulting engineers in England in 2007, where he worked for four years before relocating to Malaysia. He received his bachelor’s degree in Geography from Nottingham University and he also holds an MSc in Environmental Management from Birmingham University, England.

Guido Wiesenreiter
WSO -Water Systems Operations, Malaysia

Guido has over 20 years of experience in the water industry delivering non‐ revenue water reduction, leakage and GIS related projects. During his career he has worked on almost every continent or more than 13 different countries. In 1994 he started his career in Germany and East Europe and from 1996 onwards he worked continuously abroad.During the last 20 years he has gained a wide ranging experience in all aspects of water supply and sanitation projects. He was also involved in many projects which were funded by the European Union and the Worldbank in Tanzania, Africa and Kosovo, former Yugoslavia and in other east European countries.From 1998 to 2002 he was working as a NRW reduction and leakage control specialist in the Selangor and Kedah NRW reduction projects. He also managed the successful NRW reduction project in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, where a NRW reduction of 31 MLD was achieved. He was also engaged in the US as a water loss control specialist on various water audit projects.Guido is currently engaged as a water loss control expert and project manager for a NRW reduction project in Kota Kinabalu.

Mark Nicol
Mueller Water Products, Singapore

Mark oversees Mueller’s international clean water sales and has been serving the water industry for 18 years, with a primary focus on non-revenue water and network modelling. Originally from the UK, where Mark worked for Thames Water and Mouchel, he moved to Asia in 2007 to help utilities address their water loss and pipeline asset management challenges. Before joining Mueller to support the establishment of their Asian sales in 2012, with a focus on the Echologics brand, he worked as a Network Modelling and NRW Manager for Ranhill Water Services. Mark has an MSc. in Water Modelling and Management and a BSc. in Geography, both from the University of Reading and he recently completed an Executive MBA with Henley Business School.

Craig Russ
Waterworks/Electronics Product Manager, Cla-Val Asia Pacific

Craig is the Waterworks and Electronics Product Manager for the Asia Pacific region. Based in New Zealand he has been involved in the valve industry for over 25 years with the greatest amount of that time being spent in the Water Industry. He has developed a broad knowledge of valve application and in recent years has been involved with implementation of Cla-Val’s range of Communicating Electronic Control Valves and accessories for pressure management in the region.

Knud Bonde
Senior Vice President/Managing Director, Kamstrup Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd, Malaysia

Knud Bonde is the Senior Vice President/Managing Director for Kamstrup Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd, since the office opened in September 2019. Since joining Kamstrup in 1991, Knud has orchestrated a truly remarkable global expansion that has seen the company go from exporting to only a handful of countries, to exporting to around 75 countries across the globe today. His export prowess has made an invaluable contribution to what has been an unprecedented period of growth in Kamstrup’s history.

Stig Knudsen
Business Development Manager, Kamstrup

Stig Knudsen is Business Development Manager at Kamstrup. He has been working with different issues in the water industry since 2003 both on the utility side and now as a supplier. One of his characteristics is that he has always been in the nexus where technical, commercial and strategic issues meet. His work often involves introduction of new solutions and approaching new markets.

Marcus Chang
Sales & Business Development Manager, Kamstrup Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd, Malaysia

Marcus is an engineer who has been working in the water industry, mostly with water authorities for more than 10 years. He was in software sales as well as being in water meters sales. Marcus joined Kamstrup since September 2019, and is responsible to help customers adopt smart metering technology along with distribution data analytics in the Asia Pacific region.
